America.
We are lonely.

And, it’s eroding our health and democracy.

Young adults spend 2 hours less socializing face-to-face each day compared to previous generations.

Only 16% of Americans feel very attached to their local community.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Community builders are the unsung heroes who can change this.

But building IRL is ridiculously hard today

Dear community builders,

You rock. You work tirelessly behind the scenes to bring people together—ironically, often alone without resources. You are burning out and you wonder if anyone cares.

We care. We are here to support and celebrate you.

Now more than ever, we need you and we need many more like you.

We can do better.

In summer 2024, we're bringing together passionate IRL builders who are reinventing their existing community or launching a new one.

We will surround you with peers, resources and experts - all dedicated to your success.

We'll share what we learn openly and create tools to help many more builders in SF & beyond.

FAQs

  • It’s where a group of people or members socialize regularly, participate in shared activities and build relationships along the way.

These come together for many reasons - creativity, curiosity, play, growth, fandom, service, support or making a difference.

    A philosophy circle
    An adventure seekers club

A culture collective of underground art fans
    A cozy neighborhood hangout
    A parent-and-child nature exploration club
    A close-knit mom support group
A hub for DIY makers and creators

    …the possibilities are infinite.

But the key is: they prioritize building relationships among members.

What they're not: one-off experiences or just doing activities without forming any real connections.
