FAQs

  • One thing we need to build IRL: physical spaces.

Again and again, we hear from our IRL community builders that they struggle to find places for their local gatherings. They don’t know where to go.

    This is our attempt to:

    • Celebrate spaces that are dedicated to local community gatherings.

    • Inspire more spaces to join the movement to open their doors to local communities.

    • Make it easier for IRL community builders to know which spaces to go to.

  • By joining this effort, you:

    • Welcome local gatherings in your space

    • Give opportunity to host everyday affordable events

    • Support IRL builders in San Francisco

Join hands to build IRL together!

  • Each space is unique. You curate gatherings that align with your vision and values, choose how you want to charge, or create a schedule that fits your space. We are not asking you to compromise any of that.

All we ask is that you make your intent to support local community builders more visible and approachable.

In simple terms, this pledge means: "We welcome local IRL communities who need a space to gather. If you'd like to host in our space, contact us. We want to work with you.”

  • We need third spaces of all kinds: Cafes, parks, town halls, artist collectives, bookstores, maker spaces, village squares, food halls…Private and public, free and paid, with a specific purpose or a broad appeal.

    So yes!
